I am writing on behalf of the Tenterden & District Residents Association (TDRA) to object to this planning application for the following reasons:
The unacceptable visual impact of the proposed equine development to one of the most important ancient parkland estates surrounding Tenterden. The site is located within an AONB and has important areas of unimproved grassland, which is now extremely rare.
The proposed buildings and likely new fencing, represent substantial additional development and will have a significant visual impact on key strategic views from Tenterden.
This proposal will harm the unique landscape character of this area and erode the natural beauty enjoyed by many walkers using the public footpaths that run through these fields.
We are also concerned about the potential harm to wildlife habitat of light pollution (particularly outdoor lighting to the arena and stables) and likely effluent run off from the stables.
