Dear Tenterden Wildlife members and supporters
Below is an invitation to a series of ‘rewilding’ talks and a discussion, taking the form of a study morning at Homewood School’s Sinden Theatre on Saturday 13th April (and when I say ‘morning’, the event ends at 1.00pm on the dot!). The invitation includes a booking form, with an entry fee of £10.00 and no age limitation. But I do recommend the session to any of you interested in the wider implications of nature recovery and rewilding for this beleaguered island of ours.
Amongst the speakers, Dr Tony Whitbread of the Sussex Wildlife Trust will be relating his experience of the marvellous rewilding project on the Knepp Estate in West Sussex. Dr Nikki Gammans’s talk on bumblebees, if you haven’t heard it, is enormously illuminating – and I’ll be talking about long established human attitudes to other species, and why we have to teach ourselves to think and act differently if we’re to save the planet.
We’ll hope to see as many of you then and there then as might wish to invest in and contribute to the debate.
